Four specialised operating companies

The four operating companies of Koopmans Koninklijke Meelfabrieken, with The Netherlands as their home market, supply their products to national and international customers in both the traditional and industrial segments. Each of the four operating companies has developed into a specialist in its specific field: Koopmans Meel in bread flour, wheat meal and special mixes, Laco Crumbs in food coatings, Koopmans Bakery Products in deep-frozen doughs and mini-cakes, and Mefita B.V. in special grains such as teff.

Koopmans Meel: the richest range of flours in the Netherlands

The product range is based on a wide variety of types of bread flour and wheat meal, supplemented with a sophisticated selection of specialities such as, in particular, buckwheat, rye and the special EKO Quality Mark range, and completed with a range of premixes and complete mixes. Laco Crumbs: more than two hundred types of breadcrumb products

Laco Crumbs is the trading name of Laco Paneermeelfabriek B.V. The company's broad and distinguishing range is comprised of more than two hundred types of high-quality breadcrumb products and products such as coating, fillers and predusts. The products are made from special bread baked fresh every day and produced in accordance with recipes that have proven successful over the course of many years. At the same time the products are also modified to keep in line with current trends and to ensure that they meet all consumer wishes such as health, convenience, enjoyment, behaviour and a good price/quality ratio. Koopmans Bakery Products: export of deep-frozen products

Koopmans bakery Products is specialised in the export of deep-frozen dough products. The range includes cream puffs, éclairs and a variety of tart and puff-pastry products. These products are marketed in the retail and Out-of-Home channels under our Café Condito®, Mini Windy’s®, RuckZuck®, Zauberteig® and MF® brands and private label brands.

Mefita: teff and other special grains

Mefita develops gluten-free meal with surprisingly good baking properties. The major ingredient is teff. Teff grains are about 150th the size of wheat grains and are ground without separating the husk. As a result the wholemeal is rich in slowly-digestible carbohydrates, fibre and minerals, and low levels of phytic acid.
